2017 In the beginning we created beard oil


Gary and I (James) came up with the idea of EastWing Grooming Co in mid-February after becoming aware that a lot of existing beard care products were skipping EU safety regulations, and noticing that all of them seemed to be marketed at Vikings or lumberjacks.

We were very lucky to already be surrounded by various industry experts (including our colleagues, families and friends), who helped us create 3 naturally stunning sets of beard oils and balms and build our website, blog and social media accounts. Once we’d gained all of our safety regulations, we launched EastWing Grooming Co on 18th September.

In the remaining 3 months, we gained 2,000 social media followers - many of whom are blessed with some award-worthy facial follicles. We attended 5 fairs, including the Gentlemen’s Grooming Show in London, and we’ve partnered with nine stockists around our home town of Brighton including gift shops, barbers, salons and a gym.

In December 2017, we released our signature Moustache Wax. It’s neutral aroma and petroleum-free, all-natural ingredients keep to our ethos of “all natural all good” and will keep your moustache smoother than James Bond.

In 2017 alone, we received social media endorsements from:

We’ve also been recommended in, and featured by, British GQ, House of Coco, Men’s Fitness and Absolute magazines due our sleek style, clean design and beard health benefits.

The future

We’re already focused on expanding our range further throughout 2018, and already testing several new product lines - taking care to do this well, and working with our team of herbal and aromatherapy experts. We know that great things take time - including growing an epic beard - and will ensure everything we do meets our high standards of quality and professionalism.

We want to grow our reputation worldwide, and are talking to potential stockists in several other countries.

We feel humbled by the feedback from our followers and supporters, which has helped with the rapid success of our products and the brand we have created behind them.
